Becoming a Make-Up Artist
Hi, I’m Bernice. I started my journey into the beauty industry with my studies in (no surprise here) beauty therapy!
Whilst studying we did a course in make-up, which led me to doing mini makeovers and giving small lessons here and there.
My actual career as a make-up artist didn’t start until quite a while later when I relocated to Hermanus. Here, I started building up my kit and then ventured into bridal and special events work.
Today, as Wonderfully Made (WM) Make-Up Artist, I have numerous beautiful brides in my portfolio, as well as matric farewell girls, special events makeup, belly shoots and many more. (By the way, pregnant ladies don’t even need much highlighter, they just glow from within!)

Why “Wonderfully Made”?
The idea behind Wonderfully Made is to let ladies who I work with realize how absolutely worthy and beautiful they all are, both on the inside and out.
If it takes some lipstick and mascara to make them realize it, then so be it!
We are all blessed with striking, unique features. I use the art of make-up to highlight these features and make women look gorgeous. In turn I hope that something inside them smiles and they realize what absolutely wonderful beings they are.
